Meet our newest Associate, Sam Fresher
Sam is an attorney with a passion for the law.
Sam has joined Dufford Waldeck as an Associate, following a two-year clerkship with Chief Justice Nathan B. Coats of the Colorado Supreme Court. During his clerkship, Sam enjoyed confronting high-stakes legal questions and observing great lawyering in action.
Sam is a proud graduate of the University of Colorado Law School. During law school, he interned for Senior Judge John L. Kane of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and Justice Monica Márquez of the Colorado Supreme Court. To gain hands-on litigation experience, Sam also interned at the District Attorney's Office for Colorado's 17th Judicial District and worked as a summer associate at an Albuquerque, New Mexico law firm. Sam served as an associate editor of the University of Colorado Law Review and published a law review article on litigation arising out of the opioid addiction epidemic.
Before law school, Sam earned a B.A. in History from Colby College in Waterville, Maine. In college, he spent two terms studying at St Catherine’s College, Oxford.
When not working, Sam can be found strumming his guitar or chasing trout in secluded mountain streams with his dog, Chester.
