Spotlight on Scott Goebel
Scott grew up in Palisade and, wanting to focus his law practice on serving the Western Slope community, returned to his roots.
Scott attended the Washburn University School of Law, which piloted a new program allowing students to complete their last year of law school while working in a geographic location of their choice. Seizing the opportunity, he joined Dufford Waldeck in the summer of 2021 as a law clerk, gaining valuable in-firm experience while finishing school.
Scott graduated in December 2021, earning his law degree with a certificate in business and transactional law. Recently passing the bar exam (click HERE to see his video of the happy event), he is set to become a licensed attorney on May 23rd and will become an Associate with the firm.
Prior to law school, he helped manage a non-profit transportation company seeking to reduce DUIs and carbon emissions at high-risk events, while traveling the world during the off-season. Out of the office, he enjoys the outdoor activities offered by the Western Slope, working in his family’s vineyard, attending concerts, and traveling.
