As part of a U.S. Air Force family, Rob Pierce grew up all over the country, including Louisiana, Alaska, Oklahoma, Florida and Oregon. He attended college in Florida and law school in Oregon. While in law school, he worked for the Natural Resources Division of the Oregon Department of Justice and was on the staff of one of the school's law reviews, The Journal of Small and Emerging Business Law.
Rob served as a law clerk to Chief Justice of the Oregon Supreme Court for two years. At the court, Rob prepared draft opinions, reviewed petitions for review, and assisted case assignments. Looking for a smaller city in which to live and practice law, he found Grand Junction and DWMK.
Rob’s practice focuses on water law. “Water gives me an opportunity to work less formally with people than some other areas of the law,” he says. His clients include ranch and farm owners, developers, water conservancy districts, and irrigation ditch companies. “It’s satisfying when I can guide a client through the process of getting the water they need.”
Rob and his wife enjoy mountain biking, road biking, telemark skiing and have a young, active family.
