Growing up on a wheat farm in northeastern Colorado fed Jenna Keller's interest in legal issues surrounding agriculture, land, and water use. “I knew I wanted to stay in the West and in a small town setting,” she says. “The Grand Valley has that small town feel and rural character, and I can utilize my agriculture background in working with the area residents,” she says.
Jenna joined DWMK in August 2006 after serving as research associate at the Ruckelshaus Institute for Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Wyoming. As lead researcher on a land use and water development project, she had the opportunity to work with professionals from every field involved in agriculture. She also completed several externship assignments involving water and mineral rights issues.
In the winter Jenna spends much of her free time on the ski slopes, and in the summer playing outdoor volleyball. She often returns home to help on the family farm in northeastern Colordao.
