Sam concentrates his practice on general civil and business litigation, trials, appeals, real estate, labor and employment. He is a Fellow of the Colorado Bar Foundation, past Chair of The Colorado Lawyer Board of Editors, and past President of the Mesa County Bar Association. Sam currently serves on the Colorado Bar Association Board of Governors, the CBA Budget and Finance Committee, and was recently nominated to serve as Senior Vice President of the CBA Executive Committee. He is a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Wyoming and Colorado, including the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Sam is a third generation Colorado native. He earned a degree in political science from the University of Colorado and was selected to study eastern European transitional politics and economics at the Budapest University of Economics. Sam received his law degree from the University of Wyoming College of Law, where he served as a Senior Editor for the Land and Water Law Review. After practicing in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, he relocated to Grand Junction in 1997.
