In Colorado, water rights are property rights; and in western Colorado, those rights are particularly important and valuable.
Our water attorneys advise and represent a wide variety of clients across Western Colorado in all types of water matters. We regularly deal with problems ranging from localized issues and disputes, to the more intricate and politically volatile problems affecting allocations between different parts of Colorado.
We are experienced in dealing with water rights adjudication, change-in-use applications, groundwater issues and well permit matters. We effectively represent our clients’ interests in federal and state court litigation, including special state water courts. We also regularly deal with the federal government concerning water issues that affect our clients.
